We are looking for anyone who would like to support or even lead the group. This role is ideal for anyone with IT skills, and an interest in a social role supporting others.

An upcoming project includes helping deliver VR experiences to those who may most benefit from the experience, including older people and those affected by cancer.

Anyone who has IT skills to help us deliver VR experiences both at CAN HQ and in the homes and residences of others is encouraged to get in touch. Because of the details of the role, anyone involved would have to supply an up-to-date DBS check.

Cancer Support Group - Peer Volunteer - Mondays at 1pm-2pm.

We are hoping to a host a peer support group for those affected by Cancer each Monday at CAN HQ. If this appeals to you, and you are interested in potentially leading the group, please get in touch with us.

MAKERS – Shop Crew – Various times

At CAN HQ, we host a shop called MAKERS, selling locally made items from over 70+ creatives and small businesses. We are looking for anyone interested in contributing their time by assisting us with day-to-day activities such as helping label items, keep stock, etc. We are also looking for volunteers to cover the desk and assist customers with their orders. Primarily, we are looking for support on Saturdays, but we are open to anyone who would like to gain experience working in a shop environment with a creative twist!

Afterschool Clubs – Support/Lead – Tuesday 3:45pm to 5:15pm, to Wednesday 4:30pm to 5:30pm

Every week, we run a variety of clubs at CAN HQ for children ages 8 – 14. Clubs include STEM Club, Nature Club, Chess Club, Sewing Club, LEGO Club, and Arts and Writing Club. If you are interested in supporting the leader of a club and working with young children to engage them in different activities each week, let us know! We are also open to anyone who would like to start a new club- Tell us what skill you want to share (or want to learn!) and let’s make it happen!

Youth Voice Survey – Data Entry – Flexible times

Are you passionate about uplifting youth voices in your community? We have an opportunity for you to support a project promoting a youth voice survey, helping us find what is important to young people locally. Your role would involve data entry from physical forms to an online sheet. Make a meaningful impact by ensuring the valuable perspectives of the youth are heard and represented!

If you are between 11 and 25, you can complete the survey by clicking here. Please share with anyone else who may be interested!

Homework Club – Club Support/Mentor – Dates and times to be confirmed

We're excited to launch a regular Homework Club at CAN HQ, dedicated to supporting local children and young people with their out-of-school assignments. Beyond academic assistance, this club provides a space for socializing and connecting with peers outside of the classroom environment. We are looking for anyone interested in supporting or potentially leading the club, as well as potential longer-term mentoring opportunities. Join us in fostering a supportive community where young minds can thrive both academically and socially!
