Junk Journal Workshop
October 1st

Join us for a 3 hour workshop and learn to make a unique junk journal from recycled items.

The workshop is on October 1st, from 10am to 1pm, at Coalville CAN HQ in Memorial Square, Coalville.

This could be things like greetings cards, fabric scraps, old tickets, ribbons, packaging, envelopes, paper…any mixed media that can be cut and repurposed.  Your junk journal will be perfect to use to collect keepsakes and the design will be full of pockets, pull outs and flaps for tucking little messages and mementos.

A junk journal is very personal and can be used like any other journal but is much more tactile and visual.

Everyone 14 and over is welcome to join this workshop, but there are only six places so be sure to book! You will be taught the techniques required to design and make your own personalised junk/art journal.

We will start the workshop by making the cover ( we will provide the blank notebook)

Angela will then demonstrate how to create your signatures (pages) and show you on how to bind these into your cover. and then help you with the process to get it secure ready for all your journaling creativity!

You will then send some time decorating the journal with embellishments, pockets and fold out sections. We will provide plenty for you to decorate with but please feel free to bring any personal belongings you'd like to use.

Book your space out of six by calling us at 01530 657789,
